After reading the description of this book, I pre-ordered and could not wait to read it. It did not disappoint. The way that the author developed, Anna, the main character was extremely impressive. I felt like I knew her and felt like I could understand her thoughts and actions throughout the entirety of the novel. A.J. Finn had a knack for adding little quirks here and there throughout the story that allowed me to put myself in the shoes of Anna.
The agoraphobic angle was intriguing, and something I had never experienced in other thrillers. And Anna’s interactions with other people throughout the novel despite her agoraphobia were extremely interesting, and at times heartbreaking.
While I did see most of the “twists” coming, there were no lack of surprises in this book. I still found it enjoyable and found myself unable to put it down. I cannot wait to see what this new author comes up with next!
