After watching the miniseries Big Little Lies, I could not wait to read some of Liane Moriarty’s other work. The Husband’s Secret was a good transition into her novels. I found the text engaging, and her style of writing kept me turning the pages. The chapters were short, and the story is told in a back and forth fashion through the eyes of different characters with each new chapter.
I was surprised that the author divulged “the husband’s secret” pretty early on in the story, and wasn’t quite sure how the rest of the story was going to develop. However, the story continued to evolve through the remainder of the book. While the ending was not as climactic as I would have liked, I still enjoyed how the author tied up loose ends, and answered the reader’s questions. Would read her other works.
